Nvidia said Monday it released OpenShell, open-source software that traces what an AI agent does on the company's Vera processors, and Sentry, a watchdog on its BlueField chips that Nvidia says can cut an agent off in milliseconds. President Donald Trump confirmed a Sunday dinner with Anthropic chief executive Dario Amodei and said the United States should not give up a lead he put at about a year and a half over China. The Sydney Morning Herald reported that Anthropic will skip Thursday's Australian Senate hearing. CNN reported that JPMorgan expects spending on data centers, chips, and servers to reach about $1 trillion this year.

NorthPoint Development offered $10,000 to each household in Hazle Township, Pennsylvania, if the town allowed a data center, the Seoul Economic Daily reported Monday, citing the Wall Street Journal. Median income there is about $60,000. The check does not include a model the household can run.

Nvidia said Monday it released OpenShell, open-source software that traces what an AI agent does and enforces policy while the agent runs on the company's Vera processors. It also described Sentry, a watchdog on BlueField-4 chips that Nvidia says can quarantine an agent in milliseconds if the agent leaves its assigned box.
-- The cutoff sits on Nvidia's chip in the cluster. A person running a model at home does not get that switch.

Al Jazeera reported Monday that President Donald Trump confirmed a Sunday dinner with Anthropic chief executive Dario Amodei, which the paper said US media described as their first one-on-one meeting. Trump told Fox News the United States was about a year and a half ahead of China and asked why it should give that lead up.
-- The dinner sets the pace for the labs. It does not hand a household a copy of Claude.

The Sydney Morning Herald reported Monday that Anthropic will skip Thursday's Senate hearing into rogue AI agents and will send executives to a separate parliamentary committee on October 6. A source familiar with the matter told the paper the company's team is not in Australia this week.
-- A hearing date can move. The model still runs on Anthropic's machines.

CNN reported Monday that JPMorgan expects spending on data centers, chips, and servers to reach about $1 trillion this year, more than annual US military spending. Columbia economist Stijn Van Nieuwerburgh, in a Brookings paper CNN cited, put the total through 2032 at $10.3 trillion.
-- That bill is for the cluster. A household pays it in prices, not by owning the machines.

The Seoul Economic Daily reported Monday, citing the Wall Street Journal, that NorthPoint Development offered $10,000 to each of about 4,500 households in Hazle Township, Pennsylvania, if the town allowed the first of 15 data center buildings. The paper said median household income there is about $60,000, and that NorthPoint has sued the township after it declined the project.
-- The check is for permission to site the load. It does not include a model the household can run.

Nvidia put the agent cutoff on its own chips. Trump told Amodei the United States would not slow. Anthropic will not face Australia's Senate on Thursday. The cluster still holds the model.
